Cruise Travel Instructions and Important Notices
Check-in and Boarding Time
Cruise check-in typically begins approximately 4 hours before departure. All passengers must board before the scheduled departure time. Late arrivals will not be accepted, and no refunds will be issued for missed boarding.
Luggage Tagging and Check-in
Upon arrival at the pier, attach the cruise luggage tags to any large suitcases to be checked. Please write your cabin number and full name in English (as shown on your passport) or Chinese Pinyin on the tag. Your checked luggage will be delivered to your stateroom within 2–3 hours after departure.
Important: Do not place travel documents (passport, green card, boarding documents) in checked luggage, or you may be unable to complete check-in.
Check-in Procedures
After checking your luggage, proceed to the cruise terminal check-in counters. Have your passport and completed boarding documents ready.
The cruise line may collect your passport for safekeeping during the trip. Be sure to request a receipt so you can retrieve your passport at the end of the cruise for immigration procedures.
Cruise Card (Boarding Card)
After check-in, each passenger will receive a Cruise Card, which includes:
Cruise ship name
Departure date
Passenger name (in English)
Assigned dining room, dining time, and table number
Cabin number
Onboard account number
This card serves as your ID, room key, and onboard credit card. Carry it at all times. If lost, report to the service desk immediately to request a replacement.
Cabin Access and Changes
A crew member will guide you to your cabin. Do not switch cabins to ensure your luggage is correctly delivered. Cabin upgrades may be requested after departure and are subject to availability and payment of the full price difference in cash or traveler’s checks.
Always carry your Cruise Card when leaving your cabin to avoid being locked out.
Safety Drill
A mandatory emergency drill will be held on the day of departure. When the alarm sounds, wear your life jacket (located in the closet or under the bed) and report to your assigned muster station, indicated on the life jacket. Instructions for wearing the life jacket will be demonstrated and shown in your cabin bathroom.
Onboard Payments & Gratuities
The ship operates a cashless system (except for tips and casino use).
A daily gratuity fee is charged to each guest's onboard account, beginning on embarkation day and continuing until disembarkation. This fee is mandatory for all guests aged 2.5 years and older, and is distributed among cruise staff. The exact amount depends on the cruise line.
Please link a credit card to your onboard account using your Cruise Card. Accepted cards: Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Discover.
If you do not have a credit card, you must visit the service desk to prepay your expenses in cash and settle your balance on the last day of the cruise.
You will receive a final statement on disembarkation day. Discrepancies should be addressed at the service desk. Final charges will appear on your next credit card statement. Traveler’s checks may be cashed at the service desk.
