    Grand Canyon West Rim

Today, we’re heading to the West Rim of the Grand Canyon! You’ll have the choice to step out onto the thrilling Skywalk, a glass bridge that lets you look straight down into the canyon, or take an exhilarating helicopter ride over this natural wonder! Afterward, we’ll make our way to Las Vegas, passing by the impressive Hoover Dam, which oversees the vast Lake Mead.

    ------------------------------

    Itinerary:

Las Vegas → West Rim (you can participate in a helicopter tour or West Rim Skywalk for optional) → Hoover Dam → Las Vegas
    ------------------------------

    West Rim

The West Rim marks the western edge of the Colorado Canyon and is a protected area belonging to the Hualapai Indian Tribe. Unlike the Grand Canyon National Park, it was developed by investors and is not part of the national park system. Located just a three-hour drive from Las Vegas, the West Rim is home to the Skywalk—a U-shaped glass bridge that lets visitors experience the thrill of standing above the canyon’s depths.

    ------------------------------

    Hoover Dam

The Hoover Dam was built during the Great Depression, between 1931 and 1936, and was once the world’s largest hydroelectric power station and concrete structure. Its primary purpose is to provide hydroelectric power, water storage, irrigation, and flood control along the Colorado River. Standing in awe of its sheer size and power, you’ll be amazed at how this monumental feat of engineering was accomplished without the advanced technology we have today. It’s truly a testament to human ingenuity and determination!

    ------------------------------

    Seven Magic Mountains

South of Las Vegas, in the heart of the desert, stands a striking and vibrant anomaly—Seven Magic Mountains. This stunning installation features seven towering stone sculptures that seem to defy gravity with their precarious stacks. Created by artist Ugo Rondinone, the artwork blends geological formations with abstract design, using locally sourced limestone boulders stacked in groups of three to six. Each boulder is painted in a different fluorescent hue, with individual totems soaring between 30 and 35 feet high. This piece continues Rondinone’s exploration of natural phenomena and their transformation into art.
    ------------------------------

    Outlets at Barstow

Barstow Outlets, located in the desert along the route from Las Vegas to Los Angeles, offers a unique shopping experience. While it doesn’t feature many high-end luxury brands, it boasts a wide selection of second-tier labels, especially local U.S. brands. The stores are well-organized, with a solid variety of options, and the service is excellent, ensuring a relaxing and enjoyable end to your day of shopping.
