    Niagara Falls to New York

Niagara Falls is a group of three stunning waterfalls located at the southern end of the Niagara Gorge, straddling the border between Ontario, Canada, and New York, USA. Formed by the Niagara River, which flows from Lake Erie to Lake Ontario before reaching the Atlantic via the Gulf of Saint Lawrence, the combined falls boast the highest flow rate of any waterfall in North America and feature a dramatic vertical drop of over 50 meters (160 feet).

What makes Niagara Falls truly breathtaking is the powerful combination of its height and immense volume. During peak daytime hours, over 6 million cubic feet (168,000 cubic meters) of water flow over the crest every minute. For a close-up experience, the iconic Maid of the Mist boat ride takes passengers right into the misty spray created by the thunderous plunge of the Niagara River—an unforgettable way to feel the full force and beauty of the falls.

Its strategic location on the shores of Lake Ontario made it a key military stronghold during several major conflicts, including the French and Indian War, the American Revolutionary War, and the War of 1812. Behind the fort, the stunning backdrop of Lake Ontario adds to its enduring beauty and significance.

    ------------------------------
    Cave of the Winds
