Itinerary
Today, we’ll embark on an unforgettable journey along one of Hawaii’s most iconic routes, showcasing the breathtaking coastline of Oahu.
Our adventure begins as we drive through the scenic Pali Highway, winding through the lush forests and ascending to the majestic Koʻolau Mountain Range. From there, we’ll head to the Macadamia Nut Farm Outlet, where you’ll have the chance to sample a variety of flavored macadamias and specialty coffee (at your own expense).
Next, we’ll visit Mokoli‘i (also known as Chinaman’s Hat), where you can soak in the spectacular views of the Koʻolau Range and Kaneohe Bay. We’ll then continue to Kahuku, famous for its fresh and flavorful shrimp — a perfect stop for a savory treat (also at your own expense).
Our next destination is Sunset Beach Park, home to some of the world’s longest and most powerful surf waves. During winter months, this spot attracts elite surfers eager to conquer waves reaching up to 30 feet high.
We’ll wrap up our tour with a visit to the Dole Plantation, home to the world’s largest maze in 2008. On the way back, enjoy a scenic drive through the laid-back surf town of Haleiwa, known for its charming shops, galleries, and beachside vibe.
Get ready for a day filled with scenic beauty, local flavors, and unforgettable memories!

Koʻolau Range
The Koʻolau Range is one of two major mountain ranges that shape the island of Oʻahu. Stretching approximately 34 miles, its ridgeline features summits that rise to about 2,500 feet. What you see today is the eroded eastern flank of a once-massive volcano that began forming on the ocean floor around 2.5 million years ago. In recognition of its geological significance, the Koʻolau Range was designated a National Natural Landmark in 1972.

Macadamia Nut Farm Outlet
Nestled beneath the stunning Koʻolau Mountains on Oʻahu’s Windward side, the Macadamia Nut Farm Outlet showcases some of the finest Hawaii-made products from across the islands. Visitors are invited to sample a variety of fresh macadamia nuts and enjoy the rich flavors of the farm’s signature Kona Macadamia coffee roast.

Mokoli’i
Mokoli’i is one of Oahu’s small offshore islands. It is about half a mile from the mainland and is accessible by water (kayak/canoe or swimming) or at low tide by walking. The hike to the top may be challenging as it is steep and rocky (bring appropriate shoes); from the top there are lovely views.
——————————
Sunset Beach Park
Famous for its massive winter surf and breathtaking evening views, Sunset Beach earns its iconic name from the endless, stunning sunsets that paint the Hawaiian sky. It boasts one of the longest stretches of rideable surf in the world and is one of three legendary surf breaks that host the prestigious Vans Triple Crown of Surfing each winter. When the swells roll in, Sunset Beach becomes a proving ground for big-wave surfers, with waves towering between 15 and 30 feet.

Haleiwa Town
Haleiwa is more than just a laid-back surf town — it’s a vibrant blend of local charm and island heritage. Set against a backdrop of plantation-era buildings, the town exudes a relaxed country vibe and is home to unique surf shops, stylish boutiques, art galleries, and inviting eateries. Steeped in history, Haleiwa has become the cultural and social heart of OÊ»ahu’s North Shore. Whether you’re savoring refreshing shave ice or browsing for one-of-a-kind souvenirs, Haleiwa offers a true taste of island life. It’s a world away from the bustle of WaikÄ«kÄ« — and that’s just the way North Shore locals like it.

Dole Plantation
The Dole Plantation is one of Oʻahu’s top attractions, drawing over a million visitors each year. Explore the world’s largest maze from 2008, featured in the Guinness Book of World Records, and wander through the scenic Plantation Garden Tour. Along the way, discover the rich history of pineapples and Hawaii’s agricultural heritage.
