Zion National Park
Zion, Utah’s first national park. Walk the same paths once traveled by ancient Native peoples and early pioneers. Marvel at towering sandstone cliffs in shades of cream, pink, and red rising against the vivid blue sky. Explore the park’s striking slot canyons and immerse yourself in its diverse plant and animal life. Zion offers a captivating blend of natural beauty, rich history, and thrilling adventure.

Bryce Canyon National Park
Bryce Canyon National Park, located in southwestern Utah, is renowned for its stunning natural beauty. Despite its name, Bryce Canyon is not a true canyon but a series of massive natural amphitheaters carved into the eastern edge of the Paunsaugunt Plateau. The park is famous for its unique geological formations known as hoodoos—tall, thin spires of rock created by frost weathering and the erosion of sedimentary rock layers from ancient lakes and rivers. The vibrant red, orange, and white hues of the rock formations offer breathtaking vistas that attract visitors from around the world.

Canyonlands National Park
Canyonlands National Park, located in southeastern Utah near Moab, showcases a vibrant desert landscape carved by the Colorado and Green Rivers and their tributaries. The park features a dramatic mix of canyons, mesas, and buttes, each with its own unique character despite the shared rugged terrain. One of the most accessible and iconic areas is Island in the Sky, a high mesa perched over 1,000 feet (304 meters) above the surrounding landscape. This district offers breathtaking vistas from numerous overlooks along a paved scenic drive, making it ideal for visitors with limited time.

Arches National Park
Arches National Park, located just north of Moab in Utah, is home to over 2,000 natural sandstone arches. Bordered by the Colorado River to the southeast, the park features striking red rock formations, including the iconic Delicate Arch in the east. In the northern area, Devils Garden showcases the slender and impressive Landscape Arch. Other notable landmarks include Balanced Rock, a massive formation that rises dramatically from the desert floor near the center of the park.

Monument Valley
Monument Valley, located on the Arizona–Utah border near the Four Corners region, is a striking area of the Colorado Plateau known for its towering sandstone buttes, some rising up to 1,000 feet above the valley floor. Since the 1930s, it has served as a dramatic backdrop in numerous films and media. Renowned director John Ford famously featured Monument Valley in many of his classic Westerns, leading critic Keith Phipps to note that “its five square miles [13 square kilometers] have defined what decades of moviegoers think of when they imagine the American West.”
——————————
Horseshoe Bend
Horseshoe Bend is a prominent landmark within the Glen Canyon National Recreation Area and is often associated with nearby destinations such as Grand Canyon National Park, the cities of Page, AZ; Kanab and St. George, UT; and the Navajo Nation. With boundary lines converging closely in the area, the official start of Grand Canyon National Park lies just nine miles downstream. Now a social media sensation, Horseshoe Bend has become one of the most iconic and frequently visited spots in the Glen Canyon region.

Grand Canyon National Park
Grand Canyon National Park, located in northwestern Arizona, was the 15th site in the United States to be designated as a national park. Its centerpiece is the Grand Canyon itself—a breathtaking gorge carved by the Colorado River and widely regarded as one of the natural Wonders of the World. Spanning over 1.2 million acres across Coconino and Mohave counties, the park attracted more than six million visitors in 2017, making it the second most-visited national park in the U.S., just behind the Great Smoky Mountains. In recognition of its global significance, the Grand Canyon was named a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1979.
